Welsh mother and daughter design duo, Sally and Lettie are on Brillante’s Ones To Watch 2015 list and here are a few reasons why! The pair who only started designing together in September have already wracked up over 5.4 thousand Instagram followers and have had the gorgeous model/actress Suki Waterhouse wear one of their one-of-a-kind textured bomber jackets. And if that wasn’t amazing enough for the online brand who currently sell their jackets via Instagram and email, have also been noticed by British Vogue editors and will be collaborating with them soon – we hope! Not to mention being featured in The Financial Times fashion section, last year.

Although the two have arose online fairly recently, between them they have various skills that will aid them to flourish in the fashion industry. As prior to TDS the pair had a shop in Hawarden the village where they are from, which sold jewellery, antiques and vintage clothes. And before that Sally lectured in Fashion and Textiles for 20 years. Which is where Lettie comes in, as even though she hasn’t studied Fashion she is perfect at styling, photography and social media.

When in conversation with Lettie, she described a TDS girl as ‘someone who has fun with their fashion. As each jacket is unique in terms of the design, style and colour. We only make 1 or 2/3 of the same jacket which is rare. And I think any girl can wear TDS and look good’.

TDS jackets are inspired by Sally’s taste, her love of Vivienne Westwood and history of fashion.  As Sally’s aim for each bomber jacket is to give it a ‘modern twist, which makes it unique and quirky’.

The price range of each jacket is a bank-friendly £70 handmade by the mother of TDS Sally and is available in a ‘Free Size’ fitting most individual’s size 8-14.
