Leicestershire-born Danielle Foster moved to London when she was 18 to study Art and Design Foundation Diploma at London college of Fashion. She then progressed onto the FDA FDT Accessory Design and Technology and then started the accessory label: Danielle Foster.
Danielle’s pieces carry a strong monotone theme, drawing inspiration from 40′s erotica bondage and torture. Her collections feature luxury leathers with an equestrian background.
The SS14 collection comprises of square backpacks, rectangular satchel-esc bags and shoppers as well as round-cut rectangular clutches. The sleek and sharply cut bags come in varying colours and shades with black, tan, white and silver being the most prominent colours throughout the collection.
All of the pieces are easily wearable and perfect for any daytime ensemble with their chic yet neutral colour scheme. The addition of silver allows you to quickly and efficiently dress up an outfit and be ready for any evening occasion.
Smooth leather is juxtaposed against silver crocodile-textured leather as well plaited leather handles and patent croc skin.
Understandably, since launching her first collection Danielle’s work has generated a wide range of interest including a demand for commission work. Danielle is currently working on her second collection and looks very promising with the potential for more inspiring collections to come.
